Dr. Sravan Dasoju Condemns Telangana Governments Land Acquisition Policies in Kodangal

Hyderabad,

Dr. Sravan Dasoju has vehemently criticized the Telangana state government, led by Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy, for alleged violations of the Right to Fair Compensation, Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement Act, 2013. Dr. Sravan accused the government of betraying the very principles of justice and equity championed by Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi through this landmark legislation aimed at protecting marginalized communities.Speaking on the issue, Dr. Sravan expressed deep concern over what he termed "blatant land-grabbing atrocities" in the Kodangal Assembly segment. “It is a tragic irony that a government professing development is trampling upon the rights of Tribals, Dalits, and OBCs. Ancestral patta lands are being forcibly acquired, stripping these vulnerable communities of their homes and livelihoods,” he said.Dr. Sravan further alleged that the underlying motive of this land acquisition was to benefit the Chief Minister's son-in-law and a network of crony capitalists. “This is not only a betrayal of public trust but also a glaring misuse of power, exploiting the downtrodden for personal and political gain,” he added.Calling for immediate action, Dr. Sravan urged the Telangana Chief Minister to halt these "unlawful and inhumane activities" and uphold the rights of the marginalized. He also appealed to national leaders such as Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and Shri Rahul Gandhi, along with the broader Congress leadership, to take cognizance of the issue and lend their support to the affected communities.Dr. Sravan called on civil society, media organizations, and the public to unite in exposing and resisting these oppressive practices, ensuring justice for those whose voices often go unheard.
