Winter hits erstwhile Adilabad with sub-15 degree C temperatures
Due to chilly weather conditions, people from all walks of life, in particular elderly and children had to keep their bodies warm using woollen sweaters and making bonfires with the help of timber logs.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad/Adilabad: Parts of erstwhile Adilabad district saw a dip in minimum temperatures, forcing people to remain indoors on Sunday.
Tiryani mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district saw a minimum temperature of 12.1 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Wankidi mandal registered the minimum temperature of 13.1 degrees C, followed by Asifabad which had a minimum temperature of 13.3 degrees. The other mandals located in hilly areas witnessed freezing weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Neradigonda mandal experienced the minimum temperature of 12.2 degrees C, while Adilabad Rural mandal in Adilabad district recorded the minimum temperature of 12.9 degrees C. Bheempur, Mavala, Boath, Jainad, Indervelli, Ichoda and Gudihathnoor mandal saw somewhere between 13 degrees C and 15 degrees C.
