Hyderabad: Two people were killed and 12 others were injured in a tragic accident involving a bus and a truck on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway early on Saturday, January 10. The incident, caused by a tyre burst, occurred when the bus driver suddenly applied the brakes to avoid a collision with a car, causing the bus to ram into a stationary truck from behind.
According to Jadcherla police, "The bus cleaner and a passenger died in the accident. The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment. A case of accident due to negligence has been registered under Sections 106(1) and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita."
As a result of the accident, traffic on the National Highway was temporarily halted, but the police managed to clear the congestion.
This incident follows a similar accident on January 10, when a bus traveling from Chhattisgarh to Hyderabad crashed into a stationary truck, resulting in the deaths of four people.
