Fast Bowling Hunt: MSK Prasad's Initiative to Identify Young Cricketing Talent

Hyderabad, February 26, 2025 – In a commendable effort to nurture young cricketing talent, former BCCI selection committee chairman and Indian cricketer MSK Prasad organized the Fast Bowling Hunt event at Vijay Anand Grounds in Hyderabad. This initiative aimed to discover and support underprivileged young cricketers who lack access to professional coaching, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their skills.

A Platform for the Underprivileged

The event saw an overwhelming response, with 400 aspiring fast bowlers participating. Out of these, 40 talented players will be selected to receive free coaching at MSK Prasad's International Cricket Academy. This initiative serves as a stepping stone for these youngsters to hone their skills and potentially make a mark in professional cricket.

Distinguished Guests and Organizers

The event was graced by several eminent personalities, including Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, international cricketer Md Siraj, and Dr. S. M. Hussaini (Mujeeb Bhai), General Secretary of the TNGOs Union State. A key contributor to the success of the event was Prakash Babu, a close associate of MSK Prasad, who played a crucial role in organizing the initiative.

Asaduddin Owaisi, recalling his younger days, mentioned that he was a fast bowler during his university years and was a student of the late Baig Sir, a renowned coach who mentored cricketing greats like Mohammad Azharuddin and VVS Laxman.

Md Siraj, a rising star in Indian cricket, praised MSK Prasad for his dedication to nurturing raw talent and giving young cricketers a platform to shine.
