The Telangana Premier League (TPL) is all set to kick off in June, right after the Indian Premier League (IPL) concludes. This exciting news comes after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave the green signal for the TPL ¹.
Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Arshanapalli Jagan Mohan Rao played a key role in making this happen. He met with BCCI officials, including President Roger Binny, Secretary Devajit Saikia, Treasurer Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, and newly elected Joint Secretary Rohan, to discuss the TPL and other cricket-related initiatives in Telangana.
In addition to the TPL, the Moinuddaula Gold Cup, a renowned cricket tournament in Telangana, will also be resumed. Jagan Mohan Rao requested BCCI's support for this tournament, and the board members responded positively.
The BCCI has also agreed to support the development of cricket infrastructure in Telangana, which is a significant boost for the sport in the state. With the TPL and Moinuddaula Gold Cup on the horizon, cricket enthusiasts in Telangana have a lot to look forward to.
