Mumbai: Actor *Saif Ali Khan* was discharged from *Lilavati Hospital* on Tuesday, five days after being repeatedly stabbed by an intruder at his residence in the upscale *Bandra* area. The 54-year-old actor, who sustained multiple stab wounds during the attack on January 16, underwent emergency surgery at the hospital.
Doctors reported that Khan had three injuries: two on his hand and one on the right side of his neck, with the most severe injury located at the back near the spine. The medical team successfully removed the sharp object lodged in his spine and repaired the injury.
Khan's recovery progressed well, and he was moved from the intensive care unit (ICU) to a special room on January 17.
Meanwhile, the police arrested *Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir* (30), a Bangladeshi national, from neighboring Thane on Sunday in connection with the stabbing incident.
