Hyderabad Police Commissioner Ensures Preparedness for Moharrum Procession

As the city prepares for the annual Moharrum Elephant Procession on July 17th, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sri Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, IPS, led a comprehensive review of security and logistical arrangements today.

Accompanied by senior officials including Sri Vikram Singh Mann, IPS, Addl. CP, Law & Order, and Sri P. Viswa Prasad, IPS, Addl. CP, Traffic, Commissioner Reddy visited Bibi Ka Alava to inspect the venue and route designated for the procession. The visit aimed to ensure all necessary preparations were in place to facilitate the smooth conduct of the religious procession.

Following the site inspection, Commissioner Reddy convened a strategic meeting with police officials at the Purani Haveli office. Discussions primarily focused on optimizing security measures, traffic management, and crowd control strategies for the event.

"Maintaining public safety and security during Moharrum is our top priority," emphasized Commissioner Sri Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy. "We have devised a comprehensive plan to manage the expected turnout while ensuring minimal disruption to daily life in the city."

The Elephant Procession during Moharrum is a significant cultural event in Hyderabad, drawing participants and spectators from various communities. To ensure a peaceful observance, the Hyderabad City Police have deployed additional personnel and implemented strict security protocols across key locations.
