Sufan Ali, reportedly fell ill due to food poisoning caused by an expired product purchased at D-Mart Nagole. Nasreen Begum, a customer activist, highlighted her own troubling encounter with the same retail outlet. She alleged that her son, Safi, fell ill after consuming a packet of parathas purchased from D-Mart Nagole on December 26. “Why is the government allowing this to happen? Are food safety officers in Telangana asleep?” she asked, urging immediate action against negligent practices.

Begum also recounted an unpleasant experience with the store's management. “When we confronted the manager, he was dismissive and behaved rudely, claiming they would refund the money but insisted no one could take action against them. This kind of arrogance is intolerable,” she said.
