Telangana Sub-Inspector's Family Protests Alleged 'Affair,' Requests Mercy Killing
Hyderabad: On Monday, December 30, a woman and her children staged a protest outside the Nalgonda collectorate, accusing her husband, a police sub-inspector, of having an extramarital affair with a colleague. The family also pleaded for mercy killing, claiming that the SI and his alleged partner were plotting to murder them.
The sub-inspector, identified as Mahender, is accused of being involved with Vasantha, a constable from the Telangana excise department. During the protest, Mahender’s wife, Jyoti, and her children displayed a banner outside the collectorate. A video of their silent protest has since circulated on social media.
The banner read: “Allow us to opt for mercy killing. Both of them are having an illicit affair and are trying to kill us with a hunting machete.”
