Telangana: KTR Criticizes Congress Over Price Hike and 'Strange' Taxes
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday, January 4, took a swipe at the Congress over rising prices in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. KTR accused the Congress of betraying its voters through policies that imposed additional financial burdens on the public.
Highlighting a 15 percent hike in RTC ticket prices in Karnataka and the introduction of a "toilet tax" in Himachal Pradesh, KTR alleged that Congress had deceived the public with false promises, only to burden them later with unexpected costs.
“The Congress Guarantees are nothing but scams. First, they fool everyone with these schemes to steal your votes, and then they trample the common people with price hikes and additional taxes,” he said.
In a post on X, the former Telangana minister further stated, “The Congress campaign was built on deceit, and the outcome would be nothing short of a daily circus.”
