Telangana CM Revanth issues stern warning to collectors over school food poisoning incidents
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has voiced serious concerns over recurring food poisoning cases in government and residential schools. Addressing a meeting with district Collectors at the Secretariat on Friday, January 10, he questioned why these incidents persist despite increased allocations for diet and maintenance funds.
The Chief Minister attributed the issue to insufficient inspections by Collectors and directed them to conduct weekly visits to residential schools, submitting detailed reports thereafter. He emphasized that negligence in monitoring food quality is tarnishing the government’s reputation.
Additionally, Revanth Reddy criticized the slow progress of the ‘Indiramma Indlu’ survey, highlighting that some officials were failing to oversee it effectively.
He urged Collectors to improve their accessibility to the public and issued a stern warning about strict action against negligence.
