Martial Arts Team Telangana enters world championship

Hyderabad: The squad of Telangana Association of Mixed Martial Arts (TAMMA) performed well in the Indian Open MMA championship organized by MMA India Federation in Indore from September 10 to12. The selected fighters would take part in the IMMAF World Championship slated to be held in Kazakhstan in November.

The TAMMA squad bagged two gold, four silver, and three bronze medals in the coveted National Championship 2021 and was selected for the World Championship. 

The fighters of the team were guided by Shaik Khalid (National MMA coach), trained by coach Mohammed Bilal and team manager Fahad supported by the president of TAMMA Mohammed Amjad Khan.Three fighters --  Mohammed Mahaboob Khan, Rama Krishna, and Mohammed Abdul Aziz will represent India in the MMA worldchampionship, November 2021 in Kazakhstan. 

Shaik Khalid, general secretary, TAMMA has Thanked MMA India for sanctioning such an event and providing a platform for athletes to showcase their talent and reach higher levels.
