An unidentified body of a 40-year-old man was discovered on a railway track in Warangal district, Telangana, on Friday, December 27. The Railway Police have since transferred the body to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital in Warangal, and a case has been registered in connection with the incident.
This is one of several tragic incidents involving railway tracks in 2024. In August, a railway lineman and his two daughters were tragically run over by a train at Gowdavalli railway station, located on the Medchal-Secunderabad route. The deceased, 38-year-old T. Krishna, a keyman responsible for track maintenance, was at work when the accident occurred. His two daughters, Varshita (11) and Varini (5), were also on the tracks at the time.
In another incident in July, an elderly man was killed after being struck by a train, with his body later found hanging from the Loco of an empty rake. The incident occurred between Bibinagar and Ghatkesar, with local TV channels broadcasting a video showing the man’s body hanging from the moving Loco.
