Hyderabad: A Fusion of Ghazals and Kathak to Celebrate Mirza Ghalib at Bayan-E-Ghalib

A unique blend of soulful ghazals and graceful kathak dance will bring the timeless poetry of legendary Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib to life at Bayan-E-Ghali, a cultural tribute in Hyderabad. The event will be held at Shilpakala Vedika, Madhapur, on January 18 at 7 PM.

The evening will feature enchanting ghazal performances by Dr. Prabha Srivastava, paired with a kathak dance drama by Prof. Kumkum Dhar and her troupe. The event’s narration will be led by Kabir Ahmad and Sudhanshu Mani.

Originally staged in Lucknow, this immersive experience will now be presented in Hyderabad, with plans for a potential show in New Delhi. The event aims to celebrate Ghalib’s profound poetry through a fusion of music, dance, and storytelling, showcasing his exploration of love, loss, and the human condition.
