Anant National University Hosts 6th Convocation with Mrs. Sudha Murty as Chief Guest
Anant National University held its 6th Convocation in December 2024, awarding degrees to 293 graduates from various programs, including Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Design, and the Anant Fellowship in Sustainability and Built Environment. The ceremony was graced by Mrs. Sudha Murty, a Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardee, renowned author, philanthropist, and Founder of the Infosys Foundation, as the Chief Guest.
Among the distinguished attendees were Mr. Ajay Piramal, President of Anant National University; Dr. Anunaya Chaubey, Provost; Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha, Founding Provost; and Dr. Swati Piramal, Vice Chairperson of Piramal Group.
In her address, Mrs. Murty commended the graduates for their creativity, likening them to creators, akin to Lord Brahma. She highlighted the unique ability of Anant students to connect with communities through their projects, setting them apart from others. Mrs. Murty emphasized the importance of creativity in driving progress and encouraged the graduates to continue to be catalysts for change, using empathy and innovation.
The convocation also featured the recognition of 32 exceptional students in categories such as Academic Excellence, Best Graduation Project, and Best Student. Additionally, the campus was transformed into an exhibition space showcasing the students' innovative projects.
Mr. Piramal spoke about the university's commitment to blending modern technology with traditional practices, while Dr. Chaubey underscored the university’s focus on real-life learning and community engagement.
