BRSV Continues Gurukul Bata Program in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, December 2, 2024 – The Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV) team, under the leadership of Gellu Srinivas Yadav, the State President of BRSV, has extended its Gurukul Bata program in Hyderabad until December 6. This initiative involves visits to various schools and colleges to assess and address challenges faced by students in underprivileged communities. The two-day program, which began earlier this week, included stops at institutions such as Trimes Minority School and College in Badhurpura, Charminar, and Gurukul School in Saidabad. The delegation featured prominent leaders, including Adv. Mir Qurram Ali, BRSV Hyderabad Incharge, along with Dr. Manzoor, Lihar Katnathi, and Azher Rahmath.During the visits, Adv. Mir Qurram Ali voiced grave concerns about the harsh conditions faced by students, particularly in the Yakutpura constituency. He emphasized the urgent need for government intervention, citing a lack of essential resources such as beds, stationery, and proper clothing.“We visited five to ten schools and colleges in Hyderabad, including SC/ST hostels, and observed that the situation is dire. Many students lack proper accommodations, and girls in particular are forced to sleep on the floor, raising serious safety and comfort concerns,” said Adv. Qurram Ali.At TMMIRES School and Junior College in Badhurpura, the delegation encountered resistance from the school authorities, who restricted their entry. Adv. Qurram Ali noted, “We received multiple complaints about this school. The government must investigate and address these issues immediately.”In discussions with school principals, the BRSV team highlighted the need for improvements in infrastructure and living conditions for students. They advocated for the formation of a dedicated government team to investigate these challenges and implement solutions. The BRSV delegation has pledged to continue its efforts to bring these issues to the government's attention and ensure that concrete steps are taken to uplift students from marginalized communities in Hyderabad.
The Gurukul Bata program will continue its visits to other schools and colleges in the region until December 6, as part of the organization’s commitment to improving educational equity.
