HDFC Bank to Host 16th Annual Blood Donation Drive on Dec 6
Mumbai: HDFC Bank, India’s largest private-sector lender, will organize its 16th Annual Blood Donation Drive under its flagship CSR initiative, Parivartan. The drive will take place on December 6, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., spanning over 1,100 cities across India.
This year’s campaign aims to exceed the previous year’s participation, with the bank expecting to collect over 6 lakh units of blood. Employees, customers, corporates, defense personnel, students, and members of the public are encouraged to join this life-saving initiative.

Partnership and Success
HDFC Bank collaborates with reputed blood banks, NGOs, and government authorities to ensure a seamless and impactful campaign. Since its launch in 2007, the drive has grown exponentially, from 88 centers collecting 4,385 units to 7,487 camps collecting nearly 6 lakh units in 2023.
In 2013, the initiative set a Guinness World Record for conducting the largest single-day, multi-venue blood donation drive.
Eligibility and Guidelines
Anyone aged 18 to 60 years and in good health can participate. Donors are advised to:
- Avoid donating blood on an empty stomach.
- Drink water and avoid tobacco and alcohol before donating.
- Truthfully answer the health questionnaire during registration.
