Pakistan adds 277 new Covid-19 cases, 14 deaths

Islamabad, Dec 17 (UNI/Xinhua) Pakistan has reported 277 new Covid-19 cases, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said on Friday.
The country's total confirmed cases has risen to 1,290,491, according to the NCOC, the department leading Pakistan's campaign against the pandemic.
Fourteen people lost their lives over the past 24 hours in Pakistan, taking the death toll to 28,863, according to the NCOC. It said 718 patients were in critical condition.
During the period, 243 patients recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,252,157.
The southern province of Sindh is the worst-affected region with 478,717 infections, followed by Punjab which has reported 444,074 cases.
