New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar on Wednesday said those who are indulged in politics over Triple Talaq is doing "injustice" to the Muslim women.

The Modi government took this decision to scrap the triple talaq to stop the atrocities against the Muslim women who were suffering from this so long," Indresh said while presiding over a day-long meeting of the women wing of the RSS-affiliated Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) in New Delhi ahead of the UP Assembly polls dew early next year.

"The Opposition parties must clear their stand whether they would re-enforce the instant triple talaq for the sake of political mileage," he asked.

The meeting, which deliberated on various issues pertaining to empowerment and welfare of Muslim women, includes education, jobs and skill development.

During the meeting, RSS leader also unveiled a book, titled Dastan-e-Yogi, a biography of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The book, is an Urdu translation of ‘The Monk Who Became Chief Minister’, authored by Shantanu Gupta and released originally in 2017.

During the meeting, Muslim women also thanked the Modi government for giving them freedom from the pain of instant triple talaq, RSS leader told reporters.

When asked whether Muslim women's wing of MRM will have any impact in the coming UP assembly elections, he said: "When the message of this meeting is carried forward through social media, then naturally the true picture of RSS and BJP will be in front of everyone and its impact will be everywhere."

On the issue of raising the minimum age of marriage from 18 to 21, he said it will give them the opportunity to pursue their higher education, at least till graduation, or to acquire certain skills which will help them support their family in the future.

Over hundred of Muslim women from different parts of the countries, including National Convenor Mohammad Afzal, Girish Juyal, Shalini Ali, Shahnaz Afzal, Reshma Hussain, Sushma Pachpor were participated in the event and shared their personal experiences regarding issue which they have been facing.

In the meeting, the discussion was also held on the strategy to bring Muslim women out of the clutches of fear, hunger, corruption and connect them with the mainstream.

Muslim women also welcome the government decision on increasing the minimum age of marriage form 18 to 21.
