Sangareddy, May 21: In a teleconference on Tuesday evening, Sangareddy District Collector Kranti Valluru convened officials from Revenue, Civil Supplies Departments and DRDO to address pending Dharani applications and expedite grain collection at buying centers.

During the discussion, the District Collector emphasized the need for prompt examination of Dharani applications, directing revenue officials to resolve pending applications within the stipulated deadline. Tahsildars were instructed to meticulously scrutinize each application and to conduct field inspections as necessary, in addition to online assessments. The Collector emphasized the importance of thorough review and timely submission of reports to the Collectorate. Special attention should be taken to promptly address pending issues with utmost responsibility, utilizing available records for the expeditious completion of Dharani applications.

Furthermore, the Collector ordered officials to accelerate grain procurement processes at purchase centers.  Inspections were conducted at purchase centers in Mansan Palli and Kansan Palli villages of Andole division, where concerns were raised regarding weighing discrepancies in centers with moisture presence. Immediate directives were issued to expedite grain collection at centers experiencing moisture issues. Purchase centers in Andole Mandal, including Annaram, Jinnaram IKP, Pulkal Kalher PACS, and DCANS, were instructed to expedite pending grain collection, with necessary arrangements for sufficient lorries. The Collector emphasized the issuance of tokens to farmers at purchase centers to prevent grievances and urged proactive resolution of issues at these facilities.

To ensure smooth operations, adequate porter services were mandated at centers, with armed supervision at rice mills to facilitate timely grain transfer and prevent lorry delays. Preemptive measures were ordered to ensure the availability of tarpaulins and gunny bags at purchase centers, alongside arrangements for essential farmer facilities.

The District Collector's directives underscored the commitment to streamline administrative processes and uphold efficient grain procurement for the welfare of farmers and the community.
