The Telangana State Power Employees Union (TSPEU), led by founder President MD Vazeer, is advocating for the promotion of skilled artisans within TGSPDCL, urging the management to recognize their qualifications and experience by converting them into Junior Linemen (JLM) and Junior Assistant cum Computer Operator roles.
The union, under the leadership of President Karnam Pramod Kumar, is requesting Chairman and Managing Director Mushraf Ali Farooqi to prioritize internal promotions over external recruitment. With over 23,000 artisans employed—many holding ITI and degree qualifications—the union emphasizes the vast internal talent pool TGSPDCL already has. "Our artisans have been a vital part of TGSPDCL for years, and it’s time their skills are recognized with well-deserved promotions," said General Secretary Keerthi Srinivas.
Backed by a strong leadership team, including Treasurer K. Lingam and Vice Presidents G. Renuka and Sk. Kousar Pasha, the union's call has gained momentum. The team, alongside Working Presidents K. Soni, P. Yadagiri, Y. Malavika, and Organizing Secretaries Naveen, Vasantha Laxmi, and Durga, is confident that focusing on internal talent will strengthen TGSPDCL’s workforce and ensure its future success. The union believes that investing in the growth of existing employees will benefit both the artisans and the company in the long run.
