Vi Boosts Indoor Network Across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Vi (Vodafone Idea) has significantly enhanced its network infrastructure in over 20 districts across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, aiming to provide a superior indoor network experience. The telecom operator has deployed the 900 MHz spectrum across 3,450+ sites in key urban areas such as Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, and Kurnool. Additionally, it has doubled the network capacity in the 2500 MHz band from 10 MHz to 20 MHz across 5,000+ locations, ensuring faster data speeds and improved connectivity. This development follows Vi's investment of ₹691 crores in acquiring 2.4 MHz of 900 MHz spectrum in the June 2024 auction. Anand Dani, Cluster Business Head for AP, Telangana, and Karnataka, emphasized that these upgrades are critical for enhancing indoor coverage, ensuring superior call quality, and delivering faster internet speeds on Vi GIGAnet.

To complement the improved network, Vi has introduced attractive offers for its customers. The Vi Guarantee Programme provides 130 GB of bonus data over a year for eligible prepaid users on plans starting at ₹299. The premium RED X postpaid plan, priced at ₹1,201 per month, offers unlimited data, complimentary Netflix access, Swiggy One membership, and priority customer service. Other offerings include Netflix-enabled prepaid packs starting at ₹1,198, as well as new subscriptions for Vi Movies & TV, granting access to 17 OTT platforms and 350+ live TV channels. With these advancements and partnerships in the pipeline, Vi is poised to meet the growing demand for reliable connectivity and entertainment in the region.
