Canara Robeco Asset Management Launches ‘Nivesh Bus Yatra’ to Boost Investor Education in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: Canara Robeco Asset Management Company (AMC), one of India’s oldest asset management firms and the investment manager to Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, has launched a unique initiative to promote investor education in Kerala. The ‘Nivesh Bus Yatra,’ aimed at raising awareness about mutual funds, kicked off on December 10, 2024, from Thiruvananthapuram.
The 20-day bus journey will travel across five key cities in Kerala—Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kannur—visiting local societies, markets, and busy junctions. The bus, designed as a mobile digital experience zone, will offer in-person sessions and videos to educate the public on mutual fund investments.
Rajnish Narula, Managing Director and CEO of Canara Robeco AMC, highlighted the company’s commitment to empowering individuals through financial education. “Our goal is not just to equip individuals with the resources for sound financial decisions but also to inspire confidence in their ability to grow wealth over time,” he said. The Nivesh Bus Yatra is part of the company’s broader initiative to foster a deeper understanding of investing and encourage long-term wealth-building strategies.
The bus will make stops at various locations in each city, starting in Thiruvananthapuram with visits to Kazhakottam, Venjarammood, and Palayam. It will then proceed to Kottayam, spending time in Nattakom, Changanassery, and Ettumanoor, before heading to Ernakulam, where it will stop in Fort Kochi, Edappalli, and Thripunithura. In Thrissur, the bus will visit Chalakudy, Thrissur Round Abo, and Mannuthi, before concluding the tour in Kannur, with stops in Payyannur, Thaliparabhu, and Thalassery.
Gaurav Goyal, National Head of Sales & Marketing at Canara Robeco AMC, emphasized the importance of such outreach programs. “The Nivesh Yatra bus offers people a convenient opportunity to gain reliable guidance on how to start their investment journey in mutual funds, and understand the long-term benefits of mutual fund investments,” he said.
The initiative reflects Canara Robeco AMC’s ongoing efforts to engage with and educate the people of Kerala on the potential of mutual funds as a tool for financial growth.
