Temporary Traffic Diversions in Place as Repair Work Begins on Adikmet Bridge, Hyderabad, Until November 11

The Hyderabad traffic police have rolled out a comprehensive traffic diversion plan to accommodate the closure of Adikmet Bridge in Nallakunta for essential repair work. The closure is scheduled from Thursday until November 11, and these diversions are aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow during this period.

Between the hours of 5 am and 10 pm, the following traffic restrictions will be in place:

  • Heavy vehicles, including RTC buses, traveling via Vidyanagar ‘Y’ Junction and intending to head towards Tarnaka, Habsiguda, Secunderabad, Lalapet, ECIL, Nacharam, and Moulali, will be rerouted at Vidyanagar ‘Y’ Junction. They will follow the route through Vidyanagar ROB – NCC Gate – Osmania University Road.
  • Light motor vehicles traveling through Vidyanagar ‘Y’ Junction towards Tarnaka, Chilkalguda, or Secunderabad will be redirected at Ramnagar T Junction. From there, they will proceed via Ramnagar Gundu, taking the Lalithanagar-Boudhanagar X Road-Warasiguda-Namalagundu-Seethaphalmandi Junction- Seethaphalmandi ROB route to rejoin OU Road at Seetaphalmandi T Junction near EFLU.
  • Heavy vehicles originating from Tarnaka Junction and bound for Vidyanagar – Hindi Mahavidyala – Shankarmatt – Fever Hospital road will be rerouted at OU ‘Y’ junction. They will follow the Osmania University Road – NCC Gate – Vidyanagar road route.

Between the hours of 10 pm and 5 am:

  • Heavy vehicles arriving from Vidyanagar ‘Y’ Junction and headed towards Ramnagar Gundu will be rerouted at Ramnagar Gundu, directing them towards Ramnagar X Road. Heavy vehicles will not be permitted on OU Road or Lalithanagar Road.
  • Heavy vehicles originating from Tarnaka Junction will be rerouted at Seethaphalmandi T Junction towards RoB Seethaphalmandi. They will not be allowed towards OU Road, Adikmet Road, Warasiguda Road, and will be redirected at Seethaphalmandi Junction towards Chilkalguda Road.

The Hyderabad traffic police urge citizens to take note of these diversions and plan alternative routes to reach their destinations during the Adikmet Bridge repair period.
