Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Surpasses 1 Lakh Sales Milestone in India

Bangalore: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has achieved a significant milestone with the Urban Cruiser Hyryder surpassing 1 lakh units in sales in India. Launched in July 2022, the B-SUV has gained strong market acceptance, reflecting both its dynamic design and the growing popularity of hybrid technology among Indian consumers.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder combines Toyota’s advanced hybrid system with superior performance, comfort, and fuel efficiency. It is available in three powertrains: Self-charging Strong Hybrid Electric (SHEV), Neo Drive, and CNG. The hybrid version features a 1.5-liter engine paired with Toyota Hybrid System (THS) and e-drive transmission, providing a combined output of 85 kW. Its hybrid system eliminates the need for external charging, delivering a smooth and quiet driving experience with immediate power delivery. The Neo Drive powertrain, available with an optional All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, has also attracted customers who seek versatility for both urban commutes and challenging terrains.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder offers exceptional mileage, with the SHEV variant achieving up to 27.97 km/l, NeoDrive (MT) at 21.12 km/l, and CNG mode delivering 26.6 km/kg. TKM’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the SUV’s impressive performance and eco-friendly technology.

Mr. Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, attributed the success of the Hyryder to the trust and satisfaction of Indian customers. Toyota also continues to support customers with its comprehensive T CARE services, ensuring a positive ownership experience.
