Historic Sri Bangaru Maisamma Temple in Hyderabad Thrives with Devotee Attendance

Located in Shahalibanda's Rambusk Banda area, the 400-year-old temple sees daily worship and organizes grand processions and special pujas, thanks to dedicated efforts from the temple committee and support from local authorities.

Hyderabad : Sri Bangaru Maisamma, a 400-year-old temple located in the bustling Rambusk Banda area of Shahalibanda in Hyderabad, sees daily attendance from numerous devotees. According to Gopinath Yadav, the working president of the temple committee, the temple was maintained by the Mogli family until 15 years ago when a committee was formed to oversee its activities.

Yadav mentioned that the committee organizes a grand procession known as the "Bonalu procession" from the temple. Every Friday, the temple hosts a Kumkum Archana puja and distributes food prasad, attracting large numbers of devotees. He also informed that the temple committee organizes special pujas for festivals such as Navratri, Dussehra, and Ugadi.

Gopinath Yadav expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his government, as well as the police, electricity, and waterworks officers, for providing facilities during these festivals. He also thanked Temple Chairman M. Vijay Kumar, President Shashikala, and committee members Arjun Singh, Ajay Kumar, Uday Kumar, Viresh Kumar Yadav, Bablu Singh, Prabhaker, Sanjay Kumar, Subash, and others for their contributions.
