Three IAS Officers Transferred in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana Transfers Three IAS Officers to New Departments

On Wednesday, January 8, the Telangana government announced the transfer of three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to various departments.

According to the latest transfer list, Dr. Yogitha Rana, an IAS officer from the 2003 batch, has been appointed as the Secretary to the Telangana Education Department. K. Surendra Mohan, an IAS officer from the 2006 batch, has been transferred to the role of Commissioner of Transport.

N. Sridhar, an IAS officer from the 1997 batch, has been assigned as the Secretary of the Telangana Industries & Commerce Department.

In November of the previous year, the Telangana government had transferred 13 IAS officers to various departments.

Additional transfers include:

• Smita Sabharwal, currently serving as Member Secretary in the State Finance Commission, has been appointed Secretary to the government in the Youth Advancement, Tourism, and Culture Department.
• E. Sridhar, previously Commissioner of the Prohibition and Excise Department, has been transferred to Secretary of the Backward Classes Welfare Department, with an additional post as Finance and Planning Commissioner in the Endowments Department.
• Anita Ramachandran, serving as Commissioner of PR&RD, has been appointed Secretary to the government in the Women Development and Child Welfare Department.
• Illambarithi K., former Commissioner of the Transport Department, has been posted as the Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
• K. Surendra Mohan, previously Secretary to the government in the Mines and Geology and Industries and Commerce Departments, has been relieved of his duties and transferred to the role of Commissioner of Transport.
