Rising Cases of Food Poisoning in Telangana Schools
Food poisoning incidents in Telangana schools continue to be a growing concern. In a similar case on December 19, 33 students at a government school in Keesara, Medchal district, fell ill after consuming breakfast, which reportedly included bondas and other oily foods at the Telangana Government Minority Residential School and Junior College in Nagaram Municipality.
A tragic incident occurred on November 25 when a 16-year-old tribal student, C. Shailaja, succumbed to food poisoning after being hospitalized for over three weeks. She was among 63 students who fell ill on October 31 after consuming dinner at a government-run tribal school in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Kavitha criticized the Congress-led Telangana government, alleging that 42 students have been affected by food poisoning in government schools since it came to power.
