AIMIM Sparks Controversy Over Missing Urdu Sign on Amberpet Flyover; Raja Singh Calls It 'Goondaism'

**Hyderabad:** The controversy surrounding the absence of Urdu on the horizontal direction board installed at the Amberpet flyover has escalated, with BJP Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh accusing the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) of engaging in ‘goondaism.’

On Sunday, local AIMIM leaders removed the direction board from the flyover after authorities failed to include area names in Urdu, displaying them only in Telugu and English. They objected to the omission, emphasizing that Urdu is the second official language of Telangana.

The matter was brought to the attention of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, who reportedly reached out to the concerned officials. Following his intervention, authorities assured that the issue would be addressed.

However, T Raja Singh criticized Owaisi’s involvement in the matter, arguing that the Amberpet flyover falls under the Secunderabad parliamentary constituency, represented by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy. “It is not appropriate for officials to yield to Asaduddin Owaisi’s pressure and remove the board,” he stated.

Singh also pointed out that during the inauguration of the Aramgarh flyover—constructed at a cost of ₹8 crore—AIMIM workers displayed party flags across the structure. “The flyover was built with public funds, and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will soon realize where he is heading. Both the Owaisi brothers will dominate him,” he remarked.

He further asserted that the BJP would soon come to power in Telangana and deliver a "fitting lesson" to AIMIM.
