Hyderabad: Telangana Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy sparked controversy with his reaction to an alleged security lapse and the absence of an IPS officer on Friday, January 24.
According to local reports, the minister grew frustrated over the absence of the Karimnagar Police Commissioner from an event in the district. A video of Reddy expressing his anger over the issue has since gone viral.
In the footage, he is seen questioning Karimnagar Collector Pamela Sathpathy about the absence of CP Abhishek Mohanty from a review meeting chaired by Union Minister for Urban Housing, Manohar Lal Khattar. Reddy is heard reprimanding Sathpathy, saying, “What are you doing? Do you have any common sense?”
The minister’s remarks and behavior toward the senior official have sparked criticism and concern from the public.
