Fire erupts at graveyard on Puranapul Road in Hyderabad

A fire broke out at the graveyard opposite the Puranapul crematorium.

Hyderabad:A fire broke out at a graveyard on Puranapul Road on Friday. According to local reports, the blaze started at the graveyard situated opposite the Puranapul crematorium, spreading to nearby electric poles, causing cables and banners to catch fire.

Upon noticing the flames, local residents made efforts to control the fire using available resources before alerting the fire department. A fire engine from Chandulal Baradari was dispatched to the scene and successfully brought the situation under control.

Officials suspect the fire may have been triggered by trash being set ablaze or a discarded lit cigarette butt.
