Hyderabad: AIMIM MLA Majid Hussain Protests Removal of Encroachments at Chintal Basthi  

Hyderabad: AIMIM Nampally MLA Majid Hussain staged a protest at Khairatabad on Wednesday, January 22, against the removal of roadside encroachments in Chintal Basthi by the Hyderabad traffic police. The protest led to a heavy police presence to prevent the situation from escalating.  

The Hyderabad traffic police, along with officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), began clearing pushcarts and small shanties along Chintal Basthi Road, citing encroachment and traffic hindrance on the road connecting Khairatabad to Banjara Hills Road No 2.  

Majid Hussain arrived at the scene and sat on the road in protest against the removal efforts. AIMIM party workers and local residents joined the demonstration, raising slogans against the actions of the Hyderabad traffic police and GHMC.  

In response, the traffic police engaged in discussions with the locals, and the issue was eventually resolved through dialogue.
