Traffic Awareness Drive Held at Santosh Nagar by SHO Narasimha Naik and Matrusri Engineering College NSS Unit
Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad – In a commendable effort to promote road safety and traffic discipline, SHO Narasimha Naik, along with the NSS Unit of Matrusri Engineering College, conducted a traffic awareness program at Santosh Nagar’s IS Sadan Crossroads on Monday.The initiative, which began around 10 a.m., aimed to educate commuters about the importance of following traffic rules. NSS students participated enthusiastically, holding placards with messages such as “Don’t Use Cell Phones While Driving,” “Don’t Drive on the Wrong Side,” “Wear Helmets,” and “Follow Traffic Rules.”
Addressing the media, SHO Narasimha Naik emphasized the critical role of citizens in ensuring road safety. "It is the duty of every citizen to follow traffic rules. These rules are for their own safety. Nothing is more valuable than life," he stated.He also urged parents to act responsibly by not allowing underage children to ride two-wheelers. "Giving bikes to underage children not only endangers their lives but also poses risks to others on the road," he added.The program saw active participation from the public, who appreciated the efforts to create awareness about such an essential aspect of everyday life.SHO Naik and the NSS team hope that their message will resonate with commuters, reducing accidents and ensuring smoother traffic flow in the area.The initiative highlights how community engagement and law enforcement can come together to address critical issues, setting an example for other areas to follow.
