Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: Suspect Detained by Mumbai Police, Taken to Bandra Station

Mumbai: A day after Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed during an attempted burglary at his Mumbai residence, the city police arrested a suspect following an extensive manhunt. Authorities believe this individual is the attacker, though his identity and involvement in the burglary have not yet been confirmed by the police.

The arrested suspect was seen being escorted to Bandra police station, but his identity has not been revealed. Police sources indicate that he is the person who broke into Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's residence early Thursday morning. The suspect allegedly changed his clothes in an attempt to avoid being recognized, and was seen near Bandra railway station following the incident.

CCTV footage from the apartment complex showed the suspect fleeing the building via the stairs after being confronted by the actor. He was captured on camera on the sixth floor while descending the stairs. A viral image of the thin, lean suspect, described as the "stabber," has been circulating on social media.

At the time of the incident, Saif was at home with his family, including wife Kareena Kapoor and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh. The intruder had broken into their four-floor residence located on the 12th floor of the 'Satguru Sharan' apartment. Saif was reportedly stabbed six times by the burglar when he confronted him. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was later declared out of danger by doctors.

The shocking intrusion into the Saif-Kareena residence at midnight has sparked concerns and criticism from the film industry, with many celebrities urging the Mumbai police to take stronger action against such criminal activities.
