Maruti Suzuki Dzire Surpasses 3 Million Production Milestone

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has achieved a significant milestone with its popular sedan, the Dzire, crossing 3 million units in cumulative production. The achievement comes nearly 17 years after the model’s launch in 2008, solidifying its status as one of India’s most beloved sedans.

The Dzire reached its first million-unit milestone in April 2015 and crossed 2 million units in June 2019. It joins an elite club of Maruti Suzuki models, including the Alto, Swift, and WagonR, that have surpassed 3 million units in production.

Expressing gratitude to customers, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, "We are deeply thankful to our customers for their trust, which has been instrumental in achieving this milestone. Their feedback inspires us to innovate continuously, ensuring the Dzire meets and exceeds their expectations. The fourth-generation Dzire, launched in November 2024, has received praise for its progressive design and segment-first features, including plush two-tone interiors. It continues to drive Maruti Suzuki’s dominance in the sedan segment, a leadership it has maintained for 16 consecutive years.

The Dzire has also gained international acclaim, with approximately 2.6 lakh units exported to 48 countries since October 2008. Key markets include Latin and Central America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. In FY 2023-24, it ranked as Maruti Suzuki’s second-highest exported model.

This milestone underscores the Dzire’s enduring popularity both domestically and globally, contributing significantly to Maruti Suzuki's legacy in the automotive industry.
