Hyderabad: Class X Student Dies by Suicide in Telangana's Sircilla District
A 16-year-old class X student, identified as Chinthakindi Shiva, tragically died by suicide on Wednesday night, January 1, in Sircilla district, Telangana. Shiva was found hanging at his residence in Mallareddypet, Ghambhiraopet mandal.
Speaking to Siasat.com, the Gambhiraopet sub-inspector confirmed that an investigation is underway, and a petition is being filed. After the petition, a formal case will be registered. The exact reason behind Shiva's suicide remains unknown.
The incident adds to the growing concern over student suicides in Telangana. On December 9, another class X student, 14-year-old Mannuru Lakshmi Nakshatra, died by suicide in Khammam district after a scolding from her parents for returning home late. Following an argument, she left the house and went to the railway station, where she tragically jumped in front of a moving train.
In a similar case, on November 22, a 16-year-old boy named Aluvala Venkatesh died by suicide in Sircilla after being reprimanded by his parents for smoking. He was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence.
The rising number of student suicides has raised serious concerns about the mental well-being of young students in the state.
