Numaish in Hyderabad to Be Inaugurated Today; Ticket Prices Increased

Hyderabad: The All India Industrial Exhibition (AIIE) society is set to inaugurate Numaish in Hyderabad today after a ticket price hike. Traditionally opening on January 1, this year’s inauguration is scheduled for January 3, following the seven-day national mourning declared by the union government after the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Numaish will run until February 15, 2025.

Ticket Price and Visiting Hours

In a recent statement to Siasat.com, B. Surrender Reddy, the secretary of the society, confirmed that the ticket price has increased from Rs 40 to Rs 50, a hike of Rs 10. The last price increase occurred in January 2023.

Last year, the exhibition operated from 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm on weekdays and from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm on weekends and holidays. The managing committee retains the flexibility to adjust the hours as needed.

Stalls and Attractions

This year, around 2,500 applications for stalls were received, with approximately 2,200 stalls allocated for crockery, ready-made garments, shawls, handicrafts, bedding, upholstery, and more. Numaish blends shopping with commerce, business, recreation, and relaxation, drawing thousands of visitors each year.

Several food stalls will offer a variety of treats, including sweets, the popular Haleem, and chaat. There will also be joyrides for children to enjoy.

Special Days and Security Measures

This year’s Numaish will feature a ‘Ladies Day’ and a ‘Children’s Special Day,’ offering unique experiences for women and children. To ensure the safety of all visitors, the exhibition will implement strong security measures, including CCTV surveillance, security personnel, an on-site police station, and fire safety protocols.

Despite the ticket price increase, the exhibition, famously known as Numaish in Hyderabad, is expected to attract lakhs of visitors, offering a diverse experience of shopping, food, and entertainment.
