Hyderabad: An intermediate student died by suicide in Telangana’s Sircilla district on Thursday, January 2. The incident took place in the Daacharam area of Illanthakunta Mandal. The 18-year-old victim, identified as Anusha, allegedly took this drastic step due to health issues. She was a second-year intermediate student at Baddenapalli Gurukulam School and had returned home three days prior before tragically hanging herself from the ceiling.

In a similar incident, another intermediate student died by suicide in Hanamkonda district. The 17-year-old victim, identified as Sridevi, was a student at Ekashila Junior College. She was found hanging in her hostel room.

The college management informedthe police, who arrived at the scene, conducted a preliminary inquiry, and transferred the body to the government hospital for post-mortem.

A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
